Questions about AI training

Every course is 1 day, live, in your approved AI tool, for your team of up to 15 people, online or at your office. Each participant gets a record for your AI literacy file.

Does AI training meet the EU AI Act AI literacy requirement?

Article 4 of the AI Act asks organisations that use AI to take measures that support their staff's AI literacy, fitted to their role and the context of use. Since July 2026 the text says organisations do not have to guarantee any specific level for each person. Our courses support that duty, and the attendance records go into your AI literacy file.

Does the AI Act apply to a small company?

Yes, if it uses AI systems for its work. Article 4 applies to providers and deployers of AI systems and sets no size threshold. It asks for measures for your staff's AI literacy, fitted to their roles. Penalties for Article 4 depend on national rules, because Article 4 is outside the AI Act's own fine list in Article 99(4). The Article 99 fines, such as those for the chatbot and deepfake disclosure duties, have a lower cap for SMEs. A course day for staff and one for the owner and managers are a practical start, and the attendance records go into your AI literacy file.

Why not use a free online AI course?

Free self-paced courses explain how AI works in general, and they are a fair start for one person. On their own they do not train your staff in your approved tool, with your data rules, on their own tasks. Article 4 asks for measures that fit your staff and the context of use, and the European Commission says that pointing staff to an AI system's instructions is generally not enough. Practice time matters too: BCG found in 2025 that 5 or more hours of training, especially in person and with coaching, makes regular AI use significantly more likely. A course day is 6 teaching hours, live, and ends with documents your team keeps and an attendance record for your AI literacy file.

Do you give a certificate?

No. The AI Act does not require one, and internal records of training are enough according to the European Commission. Each participant receives an attendance record for your AI literacy file (not a certificate), with the participant's name, organisation, course, date, teaching hours and the AI tools covered. The courses carry no formal qualification.

Who teaches the courses?

Taught live by a practitioner with more than 15 years of commercial and technical leadership in software and data companies across Europe and Asia-Pacific, including maritime, energy and fintech. The same trainer holds the 30-minute intake call before your course.

What does AI training cost?

Online, live: €399 per person, excl. VAT, from 1 person. At your office: €2,900 for the day, excl. VAT, one price for your group of 1 to 15 people, including travel within the Netherlands. The prices are the same for every course and include a 30-minute intake call. 6 of the 11 courses take up to 12 people. For a larger group at your office, book a second day: a company of 25 pays €5,800 for AI Basics at Work in 2 groups. Each course page also shows the prices including 21% Dutch VAT: €482.79 per person online and €3,509 for a day at your office.

Can you train a team spread across several countries?

Yes. Online courses run live in English on your own Teams, Zoom or Meet, as 2 sessions of 3 hours on one day, and are not recorded. Session times are agreed in the intake call.

Can I book a course on my own?

Yes. Book an online, live day for yourself on the course page for €399, excl. VAT: your own private online day on any open weekday, or a seat on a scheduled online date when the calendar shows one. A day at your office is also possible, at the team price of €2,900 for the day, excl. VAT.

Which AI tools do you train on?

The tool your organisation has approved, such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Gemini or Claude. If you have not chosen one yet, we use a practice account and show how the rules transfer. AI for Video Production online is the exception: participants install tools from our pre-course list beforehand.

Do participants need to share company data during the course?

No. Exercises use your team's tasks with personal and confidential data removed, or realistic sample material we provide. We never ask anyone to paste real personal data into an AI tool.

How many people can join one session?

Every course runs from 1 person, online or at your office. The upper limit is 12 or 15 depending on the course, so everyone gets hands-on time; leadership courses stay at 12 so each participant works on their own case. Each course page shows the exact range.

Can you fit a course to our sector?

Yes. After you book, a 30-minute intake call covers your tools, your data rules and your sector rules, and the exercises use your team's own work. The course structure stays the same.

Which language are the courses in?

English. Teaching, materials and the attendance record are in English.

How do we set you up as a supplier?

AI Business School NL is a trade name of a Dutch private limited company. The registered name, address, KvK and VAT numbers are on the Company details page after a short check, and on every invoice. Booking data is stored in the EU. For consultancy packages that involve personal data you control, we sign a data processing agreement (general terms 6.5).

Do you keep what we share confidential?

Yes. We use what you share only to run your course or package, keep it confidential and delete our working copies within 30 days after delivery (general terms 6.4). Listed companies: if you share inside information, add us to your insider list; we sign your non-disclosure agreement on request.

What if our organisation needs to move or cancel a booked course?

Moving or cancelling is free if you do it more than 30 days before the date. From 30 to 14 days before, it costs 50% of the price. Less than 14 days before, it costs the full price (general terms 2.3). You may send a different participant at any time, free of charge.

I booked a course as a private person. Can I cancel?

Yes. Under EU consumer law you can withdraw within 14 days of booking without giving a reason. If you ask for a course day within those 14 days, you confirm that request when you book, and a partial charge may apply for any part already delivered.

How can we pay for a course?

By bank transfer. When you reserve on the course page, the IBAN, amount and reference appear on the page, and we email them too. We hold your place for 7 days, or until the day before the course if that is sooner; a deadline on a weekend moves to a weekday. Your booking is final when the amount arrives. Card and iDEAL | Wero payments will be available soon.

Do you invoice with VAT?

Yes, where VAT applies. Prices on this site exclude VAT, and each course page also shows the price including 21% Dutch VAT. Business customers in other EU countries: reply to our confirmation email with your VAT number and any purchase order number. Reverse charge applies where the rules allow, and both numbers go on the invoice.

How do courses, levels and paths fit together?

Each course is 1 day of 6 teaching hours, booked on its own page, at €399 per person online or €2,900 for the day for your team at your office. Its level says what participants should know before they start: Beginner, Intermediate or Advanced. Levels are not about seniority: boards start with a Beginner course. A path is 2 to 4 courses in a set order for one role: the Staff path, the Manager path or the Board path. You book the courses of a path one at a time. For the whole path for your team, ask us: a path discount of up to 50%, depending on the scope, goes into your quote before you commit. All excl. VAT. Other roles, such as AI leads, analysts and communications teams, take the course for their function; each course page says what to take first.

Where should we start?

For a company of 10 to 100 people we suggest 2 courses to start: AI Basics at Work for all staff, in groups of up to 15, and AI Literacy and the AI Act for the owner and managers. A company of 25 that books 2 days of AI Basics at Work and 1 day of AI Literacy and the AI Act at its office pays €8,700 excl. VAT; online it pays €399 per participant per course. If you have no AI rules yet, the AI starter package writes them in 2 weeks. Or take the self-assessment for a plan in order of risk, with prices and open days. Not sure? Ask us on WhatsApp, by phone or by email and we suggest a starting point in one reply.
