In a 2024 survey of 31,000 people by Microsoft and LinkedIn, 75% of knowledge workers used AI at work. 78% of those users brought their own AI tools. Training gives your staff 2 things: the risks to avoid, and a method to use AI well on the work of their own role.
Taught in your approved AI tool
Taught in the AI tool your company has approved, such as:
- ChatGPT
- Microsoft Copilot
- Google Gemini
- Claude
- Perplexity
What changes when your team is trained
- 45% of Dutch companies with 50 to 250 staff used AI in 2025, up from 31% a year earlier. (CBS, Dec 2025, preliminary)
- 83% of workers used AI chatbots where their employer encouraged it, against 47% where it did not. (Study of 25,000 workers in Denmark, 2025)
- Nearly half of companies now get real value from AI, up from 5% in 2025. The leaders invest in their workforce alongside the technology. (BCG, Sept 2026)
- 1 question stopped a deepfake call to a Ferrari executive in 2024. He asked the fake CEO which book he had recommended, and the caller hung up. (Bloomberg via Fortune, July 2024)
3 risks your team learns to handle
- Client and company data in AI tools nobody approved. Staff enter personal data into free chatbots. The Dutch data protection authority has received breach reports of this kind, after a GP practice employee entered patient data and a telecom employee entered a file of customer addresses. (AP, Aug 2024) Under the GDPR, a personal data breach that puts people at risk must be reported within 72 hours. Taught in Shadow AI and Safe AI Use.
- Fraud and attacks that use AI. Cloned voices, deepfake video calls and fake AI browser extensions target staff who do not know the signs. In December 2025, 2 fake AI sidebar extensions sent the ChatGPT and DeepSeek chats of about 900,000 users to an attacker. (OX Security, Dec 2025) Taught in AI Basics at Work and Shadow AI and Safe AI Use.
- EU AI Act duties, at any company size. Article 4 applies to providers and deployers of AI systems, with no size threshold; its penalties depend on national rules. Disclosure duties for chatbots and deepfakes apply from 2 August 2026, and breaches can be fined up to €15 million or 3% of turnover, with a lower cap for SMEs. Taught in AI Literacy and the AI Act.
Sector rules come on top for listed companies under the Market Abuse Regulation, banks, insurers and other financial entities under DORA, and medium-sized and larger companies in NIS2 sectors such as energy, transport and health. AI Strategy and Change for Decision-Makers covers how each applies to AI tools.

Why a live day, not a free online course
Free online courses explain AI in general. Your staff need practice in the tool your company has approved, with your data rules, on the work of their own role, and you need a record of it.
- Fitted to your company. Article 4 of the AI Act asks for AI literacy measures that fit your staff and the context in which they use AI. The European Commission says that pointing staff to an AI system’s instructions is generally not enough.
- Enough practice to change habits. Employees with 5 or more hours of AI training, especially in person and with coaching, are significantly more likely to use AI regularly. Only 36% of employees feel adequately trained. (BCG, June 2025) Each course is 6 teaching hours, live.
- Started and finished. Completion rates in open online courses at Harvard and MIT stayed low for 6 years. (Reich and Ruipérez-Valiente, Science, 2019) A live day ends with every exercise done.
- Real work, practised safely. Almost half of employees admit using AI against company policy, including uploading sensitive company information to free public AI tools. (University of Melbourne and KPMG, 2025) In a course, staff work on their own tasks in the approved tool, with personal and confidential data removed first.
Each participant leaves with an attendance record for your AI literacy file. The team leaves with documents it keeps: a prompt library, data rules, a policy draft or a playbook.
Taught live by a practitioner with more than 15 years of commercial and technical leadership in software and data companies across Europe and Asia-Pacific, including maritime, energy and fintech.
